Qualifications and Experience

I am a LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist # 113 187 who holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in holistic studies from John F. Kennedy University. My private practice is located in Sunnyvale where I offer counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

I discovered my passion for psychotherapy 25 years ago while in my own therapy sessions. After a career as an elementary school teacher in France and in California, I decided to follow my heart and build my career as a counselor where I truly and deeply belong.

I have experience in individual therapy, school-based counseling, and outpatient agency work. Having worked with a diverse group of clientele (Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Hispanic, low socio economic, single parents, multigenerational family units, …) has enriched me with the gift of cultural sensitivity.

When working with clients, I consider early life experiences (Object relations and Attachment theory), life transitions (Developmental theories), impact from family relationships (System theory), and their resources (Solution-focused therapy).
