Counseling Services

1307 S Mary Avenue, Suite 205, Sunnyvale, CA 94087

"Courage does not happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life."
Shannon L. Alder

Do you wonder why the same problems show up over and over? Do you struggle to make the right decisions and then blame yourself for failing? Do you feel overwhelmed, unhappy, or stuck?

If you respond positively to these questions, hope and help are at your fingertips. Therapy can assist you in overcoming your difficulties by working to identify and change the thought, feeling and behavior patterns that keep you from feeling your best. Going to therapy is a courageous act that requires the ability to acknowledge you need extra help.

Here are some issues I work with:
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Grief and loss
  • Family issues and conflicts
  • Romantic relationship and couple issues
  • Parenting and co-parenting
  • Peer relationship
  • Self-esteem
  • Separation/divorce
  • Sexuality
  • Substance abuse
  • Trauma and PTSD

To support your needs, I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment that will help you deal with your personal challenges, concerns, and worries. To address your specific needs and goals, I utilize a variety of techniques and modalities such as mindfulness, guided visualization, art therapy, and play therapy. Using a collaborative approach, wherein we talk through issues, I offer you feedback, reflective listening, and psycho-education that will help you explore and shift your core beliefs and thought patterns. Feeling heard, understood, and accepted are the first steps that will lead you to a better place. Over time, you will be able to understand yourself better and develop more satisfying relationships with others. Other benefits may include how to make thoughtful decisions, develop coping skills, and learn how to empower yourself.
